Industrial IT is a field where software has a real-world impact. It’s complex, but if you love solving tough problems and working with cutting edge tech like IoT, AI, and automation, it’s an exciting space to be in.

6. Unlike web apps, industrial systems can’t afford downtime. A software bug in an IIoT system could shut down an entire factory or cause real-world damage. This means proper testing, simulation, and careful deployment strategies are crucial.
