Alhamdulillah, I am humbled to be elected as the MP for Hithadhoo Medhu, the largest constituency in the Maldives. Many thought it was impossible, but with Allah's will, we have triumphed. Heartfelt thanks to my constituents and supporters across the Maldives.

As the rule based international order continues to erode and great power rivalries intensify, the Maldives must tread carefully to preserve its hard earned independence. In an increasingly militarised Indian Ocean, our seas and land must never be used by foreign military.
