Safe to say, that second inning was completely different. Huge positive for Roki to come back and look filthy after a disastrous first inning.
There’s a few weeks to go still, but based on the brief glimpse we’ve gotten of Roki Sasaki so far, you absolutely cannot pencil this guy into then rotation when the season starts.

This is a great outlook to have on this. I hope Freeland can make this one of those battles where you wish there were room for two guys to win.
I asked Freeland how hard it is to take walks knowing he's in a position battle, and he said it's all about knowing/being himself and not pressing. He currently has 6 walks in 20 plate appearances this spring (and just three strikeouts).
