From the scenes we see of Octavia as a child, as well as the portraits in "I Will Be Okay", we can tell that Stolas was her main, if not ONLY, caregiver. We're never shown Stella actually acting as a parent for her, making her a present yet absent parent. (1/30)

She puts Stolas on a pedestal, similar to Blitzø yet opposite. At no point in her life has she ever considered her dad to have feelings of his own. This is partly his own doing as well as Via just being a teenager struggling to see her parents as full fledged people. (4/30)
