Hi
@TfL
. I know this is SUCH a boring tweet, but is anything being done to reduce the noise of the tube? Travelling on the Piccadilly line (and others) and the screeches in the tunnels are painfully loud - and almost certainly above a safe limit. I need my ears for work!๐

1/2 Hello Ashley. I'm sorry to read that you've met with a problem, it's not a boring tweet at all. Please see the attached link to our website which explains what we are doing to minimise noise on our services. There is also a form within the page
@ashbeauchamp
2/2 which you can use to contact the team who deal with these matters. An agent will be able to investigate and reply to you. Thanks, Paul.

It's so bad! I wear my noise cancelling headphones simply to protect my ears on the tube. Dread to think what it's doing to people's hearing who use the tube regularly.
@ashbeauchamp
The noise levels have increased, one of the issues is the type of rail / fastening system being used. I know work is being done to rectify / replace but that will take time unfortunately ๐

I think this everyday! Jubilee between Finchley Road and green park- if I didnโt wear protection im pretty sure it would damage my ears!

I have it the other way round. I can hear the Victoria line rumbling under where I live. You wouldnโt think it would be audible, but it is!

This has been a problem for many years with many years (since I moved here in 2004) of people telling TfL about it and many years of TfL saying they will do something about it... spoiler alert, theyโre not going to do anything about it ๐
