This Pt had severe hypomagnesemia. Serum Mg 0.1 mg/dl.
With IV Mg correction, today the serum Mg is 1.6mg/dl
The cause for hypomagnesemia is being looked at. (Consent taken from Pt and son for putting up this video)
Had a pt 36 yr old with 8 wks pregnancy come in today with seizures and metabolic Acidosis. There was a h/o oral consumption of 30 ml of
#eucalyptus
oil.

This is a thread about Doxycycline. We generally tend to use it in Ricketsial infections, sexually transmitted diseases, cholera, anthrax, brucella, prophylaxis of malaria.

No genome sequencing, so we don't know if this is omicron or delta. RAT was negative.

Vertical Nystagmus is a rare but diagnostically useful sign for severe hypomagnesemia. Aetiology for hypomagnesemia is being looked into as we speak. (Concurrent hypokalemia and hypocalcemia was also present.)
This Pt had pancreatitis previously. Also he was on PPI for 5 years.
