Time and time again we make the same mistakes in society. What if this time we took their lead? You never know, if we do, “maybe the world is what we win.” We hope their words bring a little light in these dark times.

This world might feel far away at the moment, but you can find a starting point for how we get there in the words of these children and in the building blocks they ask us to put in place and the actions they implore us to take.

This week we’ve found ourselves looking to the words of year 6 children we've worked with. This poem/manifesto was written by school children from Manchester. It reflects the society they want to be part of, the world they want to grow up in and values they want to live by.

It can feel overwhelming and impossible at times, like you want to stop the world and get off. Find another place to start again and build something better, kinder, fairer. Like many of you, we feel like that right now.

The world is a very dark place for so many people right now. Wars rage, we’re witnessing genocides, human rights are being stripped away and we’re in a state of extreme climate emergency.

This #ADHDAwarenessMonth2024 we're aware that so many people are still struggling to access diagnosis and understand their own experiences - we hope Declaration can lend a hand.

Years ago, we created Declaration - a show about Sarah Emmott's journey to ADHD diagnosis, and even 6 years on we're still asked if we can share it. Why? ADHD diagnosis is going up and Sarah's journey really helps people to understand their own situations.
