I think a lot of people don’t know that all Mormons of all genders are encouraged to sing from a very young age. They do a lot of singing compared to many other churches (women + men). That’s why they produce so many singers + theatre performers.

I examined Vanderbilt baseball's transfer portal departures, additions and who figures to return for 2026 after the transfer deadline:

Of 11 players who entered the portal for Vanderbilt, 9 of them have now committed to new schools. Only one player went to another SEC team, but 5 wound up in the ACC, Big Ten or Big 12, while the other 3 went to Conference USA.

RJ Hamilton has committed to Duke.

To be very clear: Your favorite player is NOT at risk of being poached here. The school controls who is on the DSA list, and they know that anyone who goes on that list can subsequently transfer. Your stars, thus, won't go on that list and will not be eligible to transfer.

Pavia and similar players would not be put on the DSA list and are not eligible for this transfer window. This window is for walk-ons who are basically being told they will never play. It would be stupid for anyone to DSA a player who is actually good knowing this window exists.

Usually with pitchers, it's either reaching an innings limit or the player needs to go back and take summer classes or something of the like. It's hard enough for Cape teams to find pitchers due to these factors that they don't just cut guys for performance.

I’ve always seen there being 5 tiers…. 1. SEC and ACC.2. Big 12 and (old) Pac-12.3. Multi-bid leagues, top teams can host (e.g. Big Ten, Sun Belt).4. Sometimes one bid, sometimes multiple, unlikely to have hosts (e.g. MVC, CAA).5. Strictly one-bid leagues.

Listen I am a bar trivia player, I can appreciate a good bar trivia, but sometimes a gal just wants to use a sports bar as it is intended (to watch a game) and shouldn’t need to walk into 5 different places just to find one without trivia or bingo!.

The thing to look at is less the number and more whether you’re losing significant contributors or whether it was mostly bench players. Ethan McElvain was the biggest loss, but they can handle losing his production — it’s bigger from an upside standpoint.
