@rohanpaul_ai Been working on a project where I just ask all the popular AIs their opinions on stocks and compare them. Its pretty interesting, they all tend to agree with each other and have the same biases. They love NVDA and BTC for example.

Chinese is so strange when you first start learning it. I keep seeing the words for small 小 and heart 心 but it’s just an idiom together for “be careful”?.

It's mostly just newer people following branding practices that allow you to simplify reproduction of the logo onto a large number of materials and items. - fewer colors.- simpler design. You can stamp it into materials, reproduce it accurately with 1 or 2 colors only, etc.

One day I would like to see a logo redesign that made it look better instead of soulless and terrible. Can anyone give a counterexample?

it's funny to notice almost nobody reads books - i.e. source material. Today it's layers of podcast bros misquoting each other and telephone gaming original ideas from thinkers who wrote something good 10 or 20 or 30 years ago. It's tech, finance, politics, all of it.

GPT-5 highlights:.- $1.25 / million token input | $10 / million token output. Cheaper than sonnet 4. Slightly more expensive than gpt-4.1.- generally beating o3 on benchmarks in thinking mode.- will be a GPT-5 pro but no api access yet? This is the version that beats o3-pro on.

The code structure is what matters. Strict types back to front, simple and clear naming with vertical feature slices throughout the code base. Good linter rules, good tsc rules, many tests. Monorepo. It requires real intention. Then it’s magic.

Alright, I want to be proven wrong on this agent coding stuff. I will pay someone to pair program with me, show me how to deliver useful code for my codebase and I’ll eat my words. I’ve spent too much of my own time trying to produce real business value and it hasn’t worked.

Why not - quantum computing has no near term applications, everything appears to be an academic research project. SMR companies are all going to be in regulatory hell forever. 3D printing - not sure why this never has worked but it seems as hard as fusion to make work.

Why? GaN semis - actual good story of usage for power applications. Space - eventually it can all be repurposed for defense ($$). Gene editing - pumping out one-off cures for long tail of diseases ($$).
