@adamkjohnston I don’t have preferred gender pronouns. Replace all the statues of Robert E. Lee with statues of James Longstreet.

Historian here and I approve of this. Taking down Confederate statues does not erase history, it stops commemorating traitors to the American republic who fought as Grant said for the worst cause in history.

@Councillorsuzie They shouldn't have made the edit. However, anyone watching the full speech versus those watching just the BBC edit wouldn't be far apart at all in their overall opinion of what he said.

And its goodnight from us. Our last post on here as we hand over The Royal Parks to MPS colleagues. From summer crowds at the Palace to snow-fuelled winter evenings in Richmond Park, its been an absolute privilage for us to police these stunning parks 🚓

The splendid @RailwayMuseum Station Hall reopens tmrw! Bang on time for NRM 50th birthday. The exhibits (inc locos & royal carriages) sparkle in spotlit glory with new interpretation & extra objects for context. Tonight the Princess Royal thanked the team for their work.👌
