Journalists have a legal and ethical obligation to send questions and request comment from our politicians. Going after them for doing their basic duty is unacceptable and dangerous behaviour.

Looking for Indigenous filmmakers/videographers in Southern Alberta! I often get asked to do videography/filmmaking gigs in Southern AB. Most of the time I have to turn them down because I'm so busy. I feel bad for having very few other Indigenous filmmakers I can recommend.

I grew up in a city where racist violence was once commonplace: Calgary, Alberta. History will repeat itself if we are complacent in the fight against racism. My opinion in today's Calgary Herald: https://t.co/nz6TNwH3N8

Well said. If Canada's policy creates a giant cash funnel from big tech to legacy media, that's a loss for journalism and the public.

If Ottawa's goal is to ensure the public gets access to better journalism, we shouldn’t look to Australia's showdown with Big Tech for the answer. @pressforward_ca @globeandmail #cdnmedia #cdnpoli https://t.co/PsqSylqiUC

Please read Tom's thread on objectivity in journalism. I learned most of what I know about this field from him and Bill Kovach.

1... I’m not avid on Twitter, but at others’ urging I want to offer a thread in response to @wesleylowery’s powerful essay in the @nytimes on objectivity, which I liked. But the call for “moral clarity” I believe could use more clarity... Please be patient. This is 1 of 22.

OK, now I'm mad. The newspaper lobby group that administers the Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) has explained why it barred @sprawlcalgary from eligibility for federal funds. It's worse than I thought. THREAD https://t.co/WnCjgFu5Ed #cdnpoli
