Shoutout to WB County Treasurers Office. Had to renew my drivers license. Made an appointment for 3:00. Arrived 7 minutes early & was done before the appointment was to begin. Staff also warned there could be a line b/c last business day of the month. Rural counties are awesome!.

As a dad and president of the local school board, I 100% endorse this. It’s ridiculous schools are barred by USDA from providing the type of milk kids should nutritionally receive. Our school would have this as an option tomorrow if USDA would allow it.
I'll take a glass of whole milk! . I am proud to re-introduce the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act- bipartisan legislation to Make America (and our schools) Healthy Again.

Rep. Roy is 100% correct. For rural Republicans who campaigned on out-of-control spending causing inflation, to now demand economic assistance for farmers, is the height of hypocrisy. It will inc. inflation on farmers & bail out operators who made bad financial decisions.

I’ve seen this blog post from Joel Salatin circulating, but a quick fact check says it’s false. See post from @RepThomasMassie. Not to get into the merits, but when you push a false narrative for self promotion you reveal your true motives. No transition team moves that fast.

Osage orange trees are a scourge on the prairie. I wish our ancestors could know the problems they created with these trees. Not only are they invasive & hard to kill in pastures, but I’ve lost a cow and a calf this fall due to complications from ingesting the apples. 🤬.

I agree with the lawsuit, but it’s frustrating when politicians assume farmers are uneducated. I would bet most farmers went to college, had/have student debt, & manage highly sophisticated businesses. Maybe next time just say people who paid their loans or didn’t take them out.
Another point we made to the Court: This unconstitutional redistribution of wealth transfers Ivy League debt onto farmers, truckers, nurses, and teachers. It’s not only unlawful; it’s inherently unfair to those who paid off their debt or don’t have loans in the first place.

A lot of water moves through the draws. He paid for the land & can use as he likes, but people like this should be denied all gov’t pymnts. If you can pay this for land & your equipment is so big you can’t tolerate existing conservation practices, you don’t need taxpayer $’s. 2/3.

I saw something this weekend hunting a WIHA that is really bothering me. BTO from Nebraska recently bought land in NCK for over $6K/ac. Record price. He is now dozing out all terraces and waterways that have existed for decades. Dad used to farm this about 20 years ago. 1/3.

We found this in 3 yr trials on our farm in NC KS w/oat mixes, including ones with legumes, following wheat and going to corn. Bottom corn leaves at fill yellowed & were cannibalized. Yields were significantly below strip till controls. Water availability also likely a factor.

I had to treat 6 head of feeder calves today for pink eye. They even had a vaccine booster 30 days ago for it. I am over this warm weather. It needs to get cold and stay cold.
