What’s really bizarre is Vaughters says here the dispute is over the *teams* not nominating a rider to have this device. But the teams are happy to nominate a rider to have a camera attached via Velon. Safety system? ❌.Camera (not a safety system)? ✅.
Regarding Tour Romandie Feminin. The 5 teams that were disqualified by UCI were disqualified NOT for refusing the mandated(not agreed upon) GPS, but for not nominating which rider should carry the device and asking the UCI to nominate the rider. Difficult to understand? I agree.

Having read the open letter and ‘FAQ’ the teams sent out around this, I hate to say but it screams of them throwing their toys out of the pram. Teams: ‘do something about rider safety!!!11!’. *UCI tries something*. Teams: ‘NOOOOOOOO NOT LIKE THAT.’.
Extremely confusing situation at Tour de Romandie Féminin, where multiple teams have been disqualified for refusing rider tracking devices for safety. It's a shame the UCI and/or teams could not put safety above politics for the billionth time in this sport. 💔 #TDRF2025.
