I’m beginning to believe that some of these kids genuinely don’t realize it’s a bad look & most college coaches won’t tolerate that. I equate some of this to mental toughness: can you still play hard when you don’t get the outcome you want? We must be resilient & keep punching

Softball players: please run out ground/fly balls hard, even if you know you’re going to be out. Coaches: stop giving your players high fives & ‘good jobs’ when they’re not playing hard. It’s not a ‘good job’ when they hit a fly ball almost over the CF head & barely jog it out.
