Israel bombed an entire residential neighborhood in Beirut, violated Security Council resolution SCR 1701, the ceasefire agreement, and international law with absolutely no consequences. This is another war crime and the International Criminal Court remains silent.

This is, quite literally, the worst night we've lived through maybe in our entire lives. No one in Gaza slept tonight. Not a single family was spared. Water flooded every home and tent. People were forced to sleep standing, or stayed awake, surrounded by crumbling walls.

While others on #Newsnight hedged and vacillated, former Pentagon adviser Jasmine El-Gamal cut straight to the point. Trump is surrounded by loyalists who owe him everything. Western leaders have spent a year telling him whatever he wants to hear. Why wouldn’t he think he can

Perhaps what unsettles me most is the sense of disbelief. For many of us, the United States was a country we admired deeply—its institutions, its culture, its ideals. To see such callousness now, such indifference to the human cost of war, is profoundly troubling. Power exercised

There are moments in war that pierce through the abstractions of strategy and power. The sinking of the Iranian warship Dena in the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean is one such moment. A ship far from its home waters, sailors far from their families, suddenly consigned to the

CNN admits it was the US not Israel that killed 150 Iranian school girls on the first day of the war. It was a double tap, they also killed their parents who were trying to rescue them.

The radically different ways our media and political leaderships react to the bombing of children in Mariupol and the bombing of children in Tehran shows there really is no moral or political principle involved. We believe only in “us vs. them”. Tragic

Just watched Steve Bannon and found myself nodding along to like… 95% of it. Not sure if he’s getting wiser, I’m entering my ‘unhinged political uncle’ era, or if I was just too shaped by mainstream media before. Either way—did not see this coming. He is disturbingly reasonable.
