So very proud of my colleagues at @DukeRAILabs @DukeRAILabs @DukeMedPhys for this major accomplishment in redefining the future of virtual imaging. Led by @EhsanSamei with @JosephLo16 @ehsanabadi1 @MazurowskiPhD and Paul Segars.
NIH awards major grant to @EhsanSamei, creating national Center for Virtual Imaging Trials (CVIT). Will develop framework to design, evaluate, and optimize medical imaging based on computational representations of patients, imaging systems, and interpretations (radiologists/AI).

Our newest paper on GPU accelerated Monte Carlo for scatter estimation in CT is out.
The new article is out! This manuscript (with @ehsanabadi1, Paul Segars, @anuj_kapadia @EhsanSamei) describes the development and validation of a GPU-accelerated Monte Carlo framework for estimation of scatter in CT for virtual imaging trials.
