Apple has just open-sourced a new configuration language called Pkl. It can generate static config (YAML, JSON, XML), but it can also integrate with programming languages (Java, Swift, Go, Kotlin). It even comes with Spring Boot support already!

The #JHipster Mini-Book is now available online at https://t.co/4ixZEm6GmD! This has been a long time coming since the @antoraproject support for the website was added long ago by @ggrossetie. He deserves all the credit for making it look so good. Thanks, Guillaume! ๐Ÿ™

GitLab denied the open source application for Antora, claiming we're using it for business-related, revenue-generating purposes. This is outrageous! I maintain Asciidoctor, which is used in GitLab for them to generate revenue. Double standards! I'm furious.

Whenever possible, maintain the user documention of your project right next to the code in one and the same repository. That way, docs are implicitly versioned, and it's much easier to enforce a "no feature work without doc updates" acceptance criteria for pull requests.

I need to name a new Antora extension that runs a configurable command and imports the files it generates. The working title is "Antora make extension" (conjuring up the thought of a make command). Got any better ideas?

Congratulations to the Apache Solr project on the major release and the launch of the new docs! The site also showcases the rapidly evolving Lunr.js extension for Antora, which provides the functionality behind the search box.
