I can’t stand when people give a status update that’s a wall of text. Like, go figure out what you want to say.

When I say that I don't want to use code completion or AI assistance in my IDE, it's out of the fear of completely forgetting the language I am writing in. I become a passenger whilst the AI takes the wheel and drives us into a ditch.

I've got to the point of disabling code completions, I could feel my intelligence leaking out of my ear.

State of the internet, looking for an example of some code: A) AIproject with paywall content B) Medium article with paywall content C) 101 tutorial not relevant D) Youtube video with target labels, nothing of interest.

I learnt rust 4 years ago through osmosis. I’ve worked through the language again and am enjoying learning for a second time.

I spent some time tracking down why Docker builds on my ThinkPad were taking over 30 minutes. The main issue turned out to be QEMU emulation when cross-compiling for arm64. Interestingly, my MacBook handles amd64 builds much faster thanks to Rosetta. Best solution: build each.

Maybe there is a PCI link width issue, time to go splunking.
