writing down everything as a procedure is really helping me out on this project and on future ones.

Anyone knows a way to export all emails from cpanel? I want to remove like 5 years due to storage space and save locally but the only options I see is to go one by one.

ChatGPT or similar won’t replace programmers yet but it is true I don’t need now one for simple tasks that before I couldn’t do but a conscious prompt delivers something useful. For example, I added a simple button to a page on Moodle with video on left.

You can promote opensource and other alternative ways to work without bashing traditional COTS. Sorry it just looks tacky and like someone is sour. I use opensource for some stuff and COTS for other stuff, do your own research and use what is best for you.

Weirdly enough a process that took more than 30 minutes yesterday in QGIS took only 3 minutes today, seems a fresh start really worked wonders. Don't know why though, but if this is a workaround I need to figure it out.

In conclusion:.Never discount your work. Never trust your optimism. Never underestimate a client’s ability to say “quick tweak.”.And always — always — charge for scope creep like it’s revenge.

Sleep? Optional. Weekends? Fictional. Sanity? Fork()ed. But hey — I’m living the dream!.It’s just someone else’s dream and I wasn’t invited.

So now the project takes double the time, pays half the rate, and demands all of my soul. Meanwhile, other projects I actually care about are stacked up like planes in a holding pattern, losing altitude and client goodwill.

I thought:.“Eh, it won’t be that bad.”.It was. It is. It’s a flaming dumpster of edge cases, bad scope, and client emails that start with “Just one more quick thing…”.

Not working 16-hour days because I’m passionate. I’m just stupid. Stupid enough to discount a project I already knew would suck. But wait, it gets worse. 🧵.

BTW only use it to load BT file and save as TIFF.

Had to download a previous version of QGIS because current GDAL version doesn't support BT files, the good thing is several versions of QGIS can exist on the machine at the same time.

I find it hard to get in the mood to remember what I did in a project a few weeks ago, fixing some stuff gets more complex because of this. Getting some after 2 years even worst. Nothing to do with process but things evolve so quickly that what I did before I do differently now.

Having my own user expressions in QGIS save me a lot of time, specially remembering what I need to do.

it used to take a bit of knowledge to do stuff like this, now about 10 s of a nice, engineered prompt gives useable code, maybe not 100% correct or optimized but useable. I remember about 12-13 years ago when I had to wait a month for a dev to do some basic request at old job.

We need to update the website to reflect this! This is so cool from QGIS.

We didn't notice this was an option! We just figure it out and very happy with it. What a great touch from the QGIS project to provide this to make it easier to demonstrate we are authorized to provide QGIS training.

I am almost sure this is not an error on my side but does this website work for anyone else?
