gaspard ulliel was great in everything i saw him in but my favorite performance of his will always be in xavier dolan's it's only the end of the world. gone to soon, rip 🖤
i know i shouldn't be surprised by now but god being a black actress in hollywood is kinda hell... you can do everything and be incredibly talented and still get nothing and other actresses can just do the bare minimum
final girls escaping on the back of a truck
texas chainsaw massacre (1974)
the strangers: prey at night (2019)
impetigore (2019)
tinashe's naturally music video (2022)
only a few years ago and paul mescal was in her first tv show and just recently his first movie and now he's oscar nominated, bafta winner doing a gladiator movie with denzel washington and ridley scott... what the hell
adele haenel said she's no longer going to make movies in the film industry and instead focus on theatre and other artistic things,,, happy she's doing what she wants but not gonna lie i'll be sad to no longer watch her in movies she's become one of my fav actresses 🥺🤎
#TheLostDaughter
is a gorgeous and haunting portrait of the highs and lows of motherhood. Maggie Gyllenhaal made a beautiful film and its her first film wow. Olivia Colman!! Jessie Buckley!! Dakota Johnson! everyone here is stellar
one thing i loved about the lost daughter was how maggie gyllenhaal and helene louvart chose to shoot everything and especially focus on all the women (and how women see each other) whereas the men are just in the periphery...
would have loved to see lashana lynch, thuso mbedu or stephanie hsu doing actors on actors... instead of certain actors who are just picked because they're popular right now
Lily Gladstone’s performance in KOTFM is still my favorite of the year.
Mollie may have easily come across as underdeveloped but Lily managues to imbue her with so much inner life and warmth, that with just a glance, she’s able to convey what others need pages of dialogue for.
Greta Gerwig in Maison Margiela Couture for the Cannes Film Festival
For some reason this look really doesn’t work here. Where’s the accessories, the hair, the make-up? Where’s the DRAMA?!!
cannes 2022 got park chan-wook, claire denis, kelly reichardt, kore-eda hirokazu, riley keough, james gray, david cronenberg, olivier assayas, george miller, lee-jung-jae wow
The Academy is reportedly looking at whether or not Andrea Riseborough’s grassroots campaign violated Oscar campaign rules.
The issue will also likely be raised at the board of governors meeting this Tuesday.

knowing jordan peele that NOPE trailer is like the first 30 minutes of the movie and it's going to evolve into something completely different, possibly more f*cked up
i know imitation isn't a mark of great acting but every time i watch spencer i can't get over how *perfect* her accent and mannerisms are... she isn't doing an imitation, you can see a whole fully realised person (at least to me!)
i know its an english film but i want to see pedro almodovar work with lupita nyong'o and anya taylor-joy in his next film and they both speak spanish too
i really love taylor russell's commitment to (mostly) monochromatic looks for the bones and all press tour... it just adds to the classic/old hollywood vibe she's been doing recently
