6 month tenor CRISIL "A" rated bond is giving 11% annualised returns. The yields for bonds (fixed income credit) is really very lucrative when compared to volatility that we are seeing in equity markets.
Here’s what we think will work now,. - Sell Gold (Might not be able to generate fixed income returns in 2025 from here on). - Sell US Stocks (Book Profits). - Buy India Equity (Large Caps). - Buy Fixed Income (Credit).

One of the most underappreciated things about the budget has been that how fixed income (FDs, bonds, debt MF) has become very lucrative on a post-tax basis for majority of the investors. (1/2).
How will debt MFs be taxed post April 2025? . Bought before April 2023? 12.5% LTCG . After April 2023 - slab rate, regardless of holding period. Could work out better since slab rates got cut & the rebate applies < 12 lakhs. Story by @sashindnj .

Our NBFC Wint Capital did its first listed issuance this month. NCD was issued under new SEBI regulations which allow retail investors to invest in bonds at ticket size as low as ₹10,000!.September was also special because our NBFC crossed cumulative disbursements of 250 Cr🚀.
Sachetization of Bond Market is here :). So far 99% of the bonds had a minimum ticket size of 1 Lakh. This made this asset class inaccessible for most of the investors. In today’s board meeting, SEBI has approved to reduce the ticket size to only 10,000/-

HDFC Bank is selling down ~9000 Cr worth of its car loan pool via securitisation transaction in which many mutual funds are expected to invest. A brief🧵.
After IDFC & RBL Bank, now HDFC Bank is looking to enter the securitisation market with a 10,000 Cr portfolio sale in which leading mutual fund houses may participate.

After IDFC Bank, now RBL Bank has also entered the securitisation market to raise funds. Fight for deposits is nudging banks to explore alternate sources of capital.

My article in @livemint on recent decision by SEBI board to reduce the ticket size of bonds to ten thousand from One Lakh.
#PersonalFinance | #Sebi approved reducing the minimum ticket size for privately placed listed bonds from Rs1 lakh to Rs10,000, impacting investors, the bond market, and issuers - ✍ writes Anshul Gupt.
