The main difference is that kiri actually trains, practices, and develops her style with legit techniques meanwhile "freedom style" is just hiruhiko bullshitting slashes and praying it works.
i think you could probably draw some strong parallels between kiri's rampaging sword style and hiruhiko's own freedom style. kiri's style is developed in defiance of tradition, just like hiruhiko did. but kiri fought with her sword, whereas hiruhiko tried to fight against it. 1/?
