In addition to this, M&A invites tutorial articles that provide accessible how-to guides for a broad audience of cog. neuroscientists. If you have an idea for a suitable topic or know someone who you think could write a great tutorial, please feel free to get in touch! 6/.

To this end, we especially welcome submissions studying methods and assumptions that are in common use but haven't received the scrutiny they deserve. Suitable targets may be fancy or completely unassuming (say, participant instructions)– 4/.

Our goal is to encourage research that is crucial for the validity of scientific claims but often skipped or overlooked (eg when assumptions aren't made explicit or when it's too tempting to just assume validity and move on to the more glamorous substantive research question). 3/.
