This story has it all: sex, captivity, conservation and PANDAS. It’s so good.
There are 520 pandas living in captivity. One bear is the father/grandfather/great-grandfather of 130 of them. His name was Pan Pan, and I've spent the last year working on a story about his life and his role in panda conservation.

"We all wish we did not have to do this," @TAragonMD later wrote in his journal. How a Sunday morning text - and a 35 year relationship between public health officials - led to the Bay Area's shelter-in-place order, the first in the nation.

This thread and story is maddening.
1/ This is a "failure to pay rent” complaint filed against Chermire Gladden. It says she owed the Annapolis Housing Authority $604 plus late fees. But she owed $0 — and it took her 7 court appearances to prove it. She’s one of hundreds sued for rent they may never have owed.

It's hard to explain how little #Covid19 contact tracing the U.S. is doing compared to other countries. Dozens of health experts told me we need to gather thousands of public health workers if we want to reopen schools and businesses:

Important read from @maggiekb1, explaining today's news that various agencies reportedly told not to communicate with press or public.

Chicago's murder rate has risen dramatically in past two years, but it's still below mid-90s level. @No_Little_Plans.

Having the language to parse sexual harassment would be pretty useful right about now. Luckily, academics have been working on this for a while!
Bucketing allegations that surface from #MeToo with a catchall term like "sexual misconduct" is a problem. Words matter.
