As a former DU student, I can safely say that fests were the worst time to be around these colleges. Lack of appropriate security to check entry and exit of such people gave them leeway.. and many of them would use the excuse of being drunk to touch anyone around them.
Men climbing over the walls to get into Miranda House during an open fest. What followed was horrible. Cat-calling, groping, sexist sloganeering and more. Men entering safe spaces to harass gender minorities is nothing new, but they out do themselves every time.
