Centuries of overgrazing & muirburn for grouse moors mean Highland Scotland looks treeless & desolate. But it doesn't have to be this way. New film Scotland's Missing Forests went online y'day. Chuffed to see almost 10k views. Pls share https://t.co/DrfvWKx11r

Dr Elspeth King who has died was a pioneer for culture, working class histories & Glasgow: curator of the People's Palace from 1974-90 & later worked in Dunfermline & Stirling. She stood against official stories & commodification of culture. A towering force with a huge legacy.

Radio Scotland’s problem isn't GMS presenters but its inability to reflect the real, post-indyref, curious, questioning nation Scotland has become & all the narratives, sources and outlooks that exist beyond an increasingly weary mainstream. @ScotNational
