Policymakers need to take into account the real costs of having COVID. Increased healthcare costs from "long-haul" effects, lost productivity, and the impact on happiness. Similarly, there are costs from the detrimental effects on cognition and mental health.

Does neuroinvasion of the brain by #SARSCoV2 happen? Not just in mice, but in *humans*? The clear answer in this study is yes — both demonstrated with human brain cells and brain 🧠 inspection of deceased #COVID19 patients. 🧵 from a peer reviewed paper.

The COVID-19 vaccine should not be wasted, but giving it to bystanders may create unintended incentives to congregate near vaccine locations. Should we have a list of people willing and able to go in at the drop of a hat (within priority groups and the rest of the population)?.

Dr. Bonnie Henry just said our school policies are 'aligned' with other jurisdictions. In Alberta, grades 4 to 12 students must wear masks in class. In Ontario, grade 4 to 12 students must wear masks in class. In BC. grade 4 to 12 students don't have to wear masks in class. #bcpoli.

3.8% of transmission from school/daycares. At least 32 people infected while working at a school or daycare. Masks should be mandatory in schools to protect both teachers and students.

Zooming in on the school and daycare setting, here is just those by age group. Mostly school age children as one would expect, but there are also some adults. Probably safe to infer that they are teachers or staff.
