React Native devs are sleeping on this built in feature: ✨PlatformColor✨. You can specify any attribute from a Material 3 theme, and RN will grab it and use it! This pairs beautifully with the new sliders for Android I'm releasing soon!. @reactnative @expo

@expo @jamonholmgren The source code is now on GitHub. There's a custom measurements manager C++ file that delegates to RN's FabricUIManager, which ultimately delegates to a function you can override in your component that tells it how to measure itself.

I'm happy to report that my package for updated switches in React Native is now available to try out! It uses the Material 3 switch on Android and the React Native provided one on iOS. @expo #reactnative . I love that Android lets you customize more and add an icon to the thumb!

Not gonna lie, this was a tough one to crack. React Native, C++, Fabric all gave me a run for my money. Barely any examples out there. But rest assured, Material 3 switches coming soon! #reactnative @expo
