His influence on football is undeniable. At every level. I would argue most NFL teams run some form of Air Raid. I’m not sure of another coach with that kind of influence on the game.

Mike Leach was a pioneer. He was unique and innovative. He had a system and he always stuck with it. (Which was sometimes frustrating) His system being actually very simple but when the Air Raid was cooking boy was it was a beautiful sight to see.

I was lucky enough to be at his first game in Provo vs BYU. We got smoked but it still felt like we had won. Later that year Jeff Tuel led us in the Apple Cup in a comeback for the ages. It felt fun to be a Coug again.
