I'm tired, heartbroken & angry. A few of us (Politics educators/researchers) were organising a teach-in on Gaza supported by @sheffielducu. A teach-in for our students where we were talking about our research on Palestine & related topics (1/n)

Some universities provide flu jabs for staff - good. They should also provide covid vaccinations - Covid is airborne and it carries more risk. In the absence of regular covid jabs for everyone, unions should be demanding Covid jabs as a health & safety issue.

๐ Academia is terrible for flying half way around the world for short periods of time in the name of networking because it has decided that this is an essential part of building a career. Not only is it catastrophic for the planet, it's exclusionary. We need to rethink.
