Every few months, some ER doctor goes viral for saying you need to take it very seriously when a male patient says his wife made him come in, and I'm infuriated that women are considered reliable ONLY when they're saying a man needs care, but not when she needs care herself. 🙃

This restaurant does not exist. Ethos, which claims to be Austin’s #1 restaurant, has 72k followers on IG. It seems normal until you realize the photos of the food + venue are AI. The posts get thousands of likes and comments from people who have no idea.

A new law governing the temperature of a rental unit will go into effect beginning on Jan. 1, 2024, for all Minnesotans.

My doctor, a board certified neurologist with over 20 years of experience believes I need an MRI. But Frank, from Blue Cross Blue Shield, believes otherwise. What a joke.

My favorite Eric Adams story is this one from Curbed where they tried to prove he actually lived in NYC by staking out his house for a week. He came home twice, parked in front of a garage, and when he left, there was traffic, so he drove on the sidewalk. https://t.co/3poIZCzyq1

And he came home. Twice!

In case you need more proof that Park and Portland are overbuilt speedways that deteriorate the neighborhoods they pass through... can't think of any other places in the city where people have fortressed their home from errant cars https://t.co/7ZGh7ZLsAv

Reminder that our unhoused neighbors don’t have a place to take shelter. Please check on your neighbors once the storm is past.
This is nothing to mess around with folks, please take shelter if you are within this warning #mnwx

Interesting. So “some” in MN will activate a siren for storms with winds at 70mph. I grew up in—and attended college in—“tornado alley.” Those states only use it for tornadoes. Here’s why using it for severe thunderstorms is a bad idea. 1/2847

This July is the 34th anniversary of the ADA and it is beyond disappointing how little has changed We still have to fight for the right to be in public spaces and live in the community instead of institutions I am not in a celebratory mood
Disabled & high risk people are feeling betrayed & outage by proposed mask bans that are effectively the new Ugly laws in this fascist dystopian eugenic society No one has our backs except us. Both parties do not deserve our votes I feel very alone w/ so much rage

Linda Tirado @KillerMartinis is in hospice. She's dying from the police shot that cost her her eye at the 2020 protests. She's known for things like mutual aid, ph calls to ppl online having a hard day, & her writing, incl a viral piece about being poor. https://t.co/3P1FhQWkkx

Why do so many poor people eat junk food, fail to budget properly, show no ambition? Linda Tirado knew exactly why… because she was one of them

We should all be able to thrive & earn livable wages. Your worth is not, and should not be, defined by how much money you make.
