It's annoying how "influencers" drive conversations here, esp in the wrong directions. The whole Dangote CEO thing was from comments by some of them, and next thing, so many people moving in that direction without thinking. A reminder that there can be folly in a multitude.

@oviosu @NigeriaStories What is smart about the hiring of a foreigner to the helm of affairs of a company like Nigeria. So with all the incentives they got from the govt. with taxes from Nigerians, the only way to give back to the country is to be unable to find any qualified candidate for the position.

The same way folks use the "data" of "Nigerians travel a lot" to push for a national carrier when less than 5% of Nigerians even fly locally.
So…I have questions about this income thing. By what we see on social media, it doesn't look like a lot of people are poor. I've been thinking about it. Even in Nigeria, Lagos for example, restaurants are packed, ride hailing apps are always busy, unboxing everywhere. So how?.

FCTA really needs to be firm on clamping down on bikes in this town. They are gradually creeping in, esp in the early mornings. Overall, there needs to be better security in every aspect.

The increase in crime in Abuja is really worrisome. If it's not one-chance, it is folks on bikes with knives targeting people walking or running, even in broad daylight as late as 9am. It is becoming an epidemic.
