it all really boils down to people projecting their internalized fear of straight cis men onto trans women.
First the “danger” was trans women in bathrooms. Then it was trans women in sports, including darts and chess lol. Now we’re onto trans women in gyms. Does anyone else notice a pattern here? Because it looks to me like you just don’t want trans women to exist in public.

THIS. the amount of people who treated me differently and ultimately distanced themselves from me when i was in the trenches of grief is disturbing. to them, it had been long enough and i should be back to “normal.” meanwhile i was drowning trying to create a new normal.
We as a society need to bring back long grieving periods. Capitalism has truly forced ppl to have to move on quickly for the sake of making ppl get back to work ASAP. Not having grieving periods has made ppl so much crueler to others concerning loss and doesn’t allow for healing.
