Then vs. now. Every time an employee asked a question or said they didn’t know something, I used to say “Did you search for it in our wiki? Or did you Google it?” — depending of if the question was internal or external. Now my answer is: did you talk to ChatGPT about it?.

The notion that all data centers need firm power is over stated for large operators. Large data center operators have multiple data centers across a the country in multiple electricity markets. They can shift workloads to another region in response to power demand.
Haven't seen this one before: Server utilization rate by data center type. AI Training ~80%+, Hyperscale closer to ~50% and the rest <40%.

When you deploy renewables, you get the electricity output year over year with no more inputs — no need to go mine for the resource every year. It just shows up like magic ☀️.
In June 2025, Germany produced a record 11.8 TWh from solar ☀️. If this had been produced by coal (as it was in the past), Germany would have had to burn an additional 6 million tonnes of coal! 🔥. That's ~3000 full trainloads. or enough to fill 50 Bundestag buildings with coal

An example of position-thinking vs. trend-thinking. Where has most of the new generation come from in the two decades? . Follow that trend vs. staying stuck on where we were two years ago.
Trump is working to increase access to energy sources that constitute 97 percent of this pie graph but somehow he’s AnTi EnERgY AbUNdaNcE

Trend-thinking > Position-thinking. Mindset changes like this one shared by @SahilBloom are magical for building your business. Focusing on the where you are now is death. Thinking about where you can go from here is hope.

It feels like Texas is to the US, as China is to the world when it comes to energy deployment.
Texas is the real model for American Energy Dominance. Trump is letting ideology triumph over pragmatism, while Texas continues to show what an all-of-the-above approach to harnessing American energy resources can do for affordability, reliability, and economic growth

Read this for impact of tariffs and immigration hurdles to the US from the point of view of China and India — and how they have been navigating it.
No. But I'm happy to explain. (1) First, you assume incorrectly that America is a valuable economy that everyone wants to get into, when it's unfortunately more like a bankrupt country that the smart money is rapidly getting out of. That's why BTC has appreciated by

Most people miss the other half of the energy transition equation. All you see is despair about developing new generation projects. But new generation for what? . New load! . If you zoom out and take a load + generation view, more opportunities open up for funding the project.
Amid the headwinds facing the US power sector, load flexibility stands out as a rapidly evolving bright spot. Below are four new podcast interviews I highly recommend, each offering valuable insight on this topic:. 🎙️ Nelson Abramson & Anand Ramesh (Verrus CEO & CTO) on Data.
