It has nothing to do with politicians. Minister of finance doesn't storm the stage when a company announces an annual profit. The minister of health doesn't storm an operating theatre when doctors save a life. It's just you and McKenzie. Total egomaniacs.
I think you're derranged when things don't go right politicians must be blamed even though most of the time they take responsibility even for things wich are not of their making (and is called accountability) , When is time to celebrate politicians must be isolated is that not

Think yesterday’s by-elections make one thing clear: the ANC’s vote is collapsing at an exponential rate and, as it fractures, there is a feeding frenzy among opposition parties. Going to be a wild next 14 months.

I know this didn’t start with McKenzie, but why do sports ministers have to behave like this? Carpetbagging with players on the field and inserting themselves into victory? It is so pathetically desperate and embarrassing. Why behave like that? Just be normal.

"Turnout, eThekwini, the ANC and DA", my fourth election essay on what is clearly SA's most volatile (and exciting) metro. That, and the place where the ANC is now basically a minority party. A strange land indeed.

Q: To any DA mayors/premiers out there. Just curious, following Ramaphosa’s suggestion that ANC councillors engage with DA-run administrations, to learn about best practice, have any of you been contacted by an ANC-run administration or does the ANC just ignore its president?

Is it the same franchise as the one in town? Which I think is a great breakfast spot, its forte, but haven't tried its other meals.
Review of Limoncello, Noordhoek, Cape Town. Multiple visits over 5 years. Once one of Cape Town’s hidden gems, it has in the past few years been discovered by foodies and the lists. Family owned and run, it has a rustic setting matched with properly outstanding food, good

Have finished all the eThekwini graphs, will write up and post in next 24hrs. And let me say this, SA politics is at its most spectacular in eThekwini. Some wild stuff going on there. Will update the resources page (below) as well.

Perhaps more to the point, I have never seen any public intellectual, journalist or commentator incorporate these facts into their analysis or stories or adjust to this reality. It’s almost as if they don’t want these facts to exist. Really quite something to behold.
Q: After the 2024 election, I wrote this essay on political support by race. It is entirely evidence based and shatters “the DA is a white party” myth. I’ve never seen a substantial response to/critique/rebuttal of it. But the myth persists. Why is that?

Never know what to make of this kind of ANC statement. Does it really think it still has the trust of SAs? (Mbalula is mad enough to believe that). If so, what happened to its majority? Its level of denial is now basically a psychological problem.
African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula has warned that the party must clean up its act or risk losing the trust of South Africans. #news #politics #FikileMbalula #ANC #patronage #corruption Read on https://t.co/1rAsaWNN80

Because the lives of poor South Africans mean so little to the ANC, there is never an effort to look into bus accidents. Were a commission of inquiry ever held, which is should, the combined number deaths over the last twenty years would defy belief.

A bus has crashed in Limpopo, claiming the lives of 42 passengers who were travelling from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape to Harare in Zimbabwe.

Places in SA that need a fire pool: - Parliament - Fort Hare University - Train Stations - Schools - Central JHB Just something for the SA security services to think about. The Nkandla fire pool has a 100% safety record. #helpfulSApolicyideas

Dear Diary, I was thinking it might be a good idea to dialogue with the students at Fort Hate, I mean Fort Hare. Only downside I can see is that they might burn the venue down, so best done outside, possibly in a field. Or near a river. #nationaldialoguediaries

Going through historical election data you are forced to marvel at how hard the ANC has worked to destroy its relationship with its voters. They tolerated so much. Only an unwavering, systematic and prolonged focus on destruction has shifted them. Amazing commitment to oblivion.

I get that editorials have to be more constrained than columnists, but this sentence - The ANC has been a disappointment - is so generous in its understatement it reads as just plain ridiculous. I mean you must be credible and reasonable, both are possible.

Dear Diary, I have made a massive mistake. I unthinkingly said DM me about the pizza I had. DO NOT DM me about the pizza. Only DM me if you want to dialogue about fixing SA. This is NOT about pizza. I repeat, this is NOT about pizza.
PS: all I want to do is dialogue for the national good, Am sure I speak for all South Africans. Without direction I am lost. I found myself dialoguing about a meal I had the other day. It’s just not going to help (pizza - very good, DM for details). Please lead us in dialoguing.
