Meet Carol Hawkins, one of the 2026 Rural and Family Lands Protection Program applicants.   Hawkins Ranch, a cow/calf operation in Sarasota County, is the last remaining ranch bordering Mayakka River State Park, acting as the last buffer against development for the state park.
