“We hope nobody has to do this, but in the event, they’ll have some of that choreography down and they’ll be able to best take care of patients.” — @alexandermcroft, MD, #WashUMed emergency medicine expert https://t.co/RAvXPZhYam

Yesterday, I did something very dangerous as a doctor and trainee — I stood up for my patients. Not just that, I stood up to those who have power over me, and my career. 1/10

4/5 When orders go to the shock room “ether”, everyone does them, or no one does. Closed loop communication is key! No one is harmed by a lack of over-communication.

3/5 Your Shared-Mental-Model must build a culture of psychological safety If your inter-professional team feels empowered to speak up, the team thrives. This is a CONSCIOUS effort that must be made, everyday

Finished the intern boot camp today at @WUSTL_EM with inter-professional in-situ simulation! So proud of the growth this month in the class of 2026, and excited to watch them crush the next 4 years. @Dromo1019 @TheTechDoc Some takeaways from the day… 1/5

I delivered a few babies with Dr. Bernard. I consult her fairly regularly for emergent obstetric or gynecological cases in our ED. She is, in no uncertain terms, an absolute badass. For women, for children, for reproductive rights…a badass. We need more Dr. Caitlin Bernards

Today’s amazing @WUSTL_EM intern cases highlighted key points in reassessment, thinking fast/slow, and how tricky aortic pathology can be! Also marked my first time co-debriefing with @Dromo1019 🙌🏼 @SamanthaJString #MedTwitter #simulation #meded

Why are we at the botanical gardens at 11 PM you might ask? “most [blooms] begin to wilt within 12 hours, some have been known to remain open for 24 to 48 hours” This flower is named Luna and it’s her first bloom! 3/4

Why the corpse flower you might ask? “Due to its odor, like that of a rotting corpse, the titan arum is characterized as a carrion flower, and is also known as the corpse flower or corpse plant” And let me tell you it’s St Louis’s hottest club rn
