Rust zacht, Willy. Je was een man uit de duizend - ondernemer uit de Vlaamse Ardennen die van gedrevenheid en levenslust zijn handelsmerk maakte. Mijn gedachten zijn bij Marie-Jeanne, je familie en iedereen die jou liefhad. Je passie en humor zullen we nooit vergeten.

I expressed our support for the ceasefire agreement to PM Mohammed Mustafa @PalestinePMO. This is a pivotal opportunity to release the remaining hostages and provide urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza. A postwar peace based on a two-state solution is the only way forward for all.

After too many months of conflict, we feel tremendous relief for the hostages, for their families and for the people of Gaza. Let’s hope this ceasefire will put an end to the fighting and mark the beginning of a sustained peace. Belgium stands ready to help.

A common European future with the #WesternBalkans is a joint project and a shared responsibility. Reforms, underpinned by EU values, are essential to come closer. Our interests are the same: Russia cannot win this war and #Ukraine must prevail.

The first European Council summit under the new @eucopresident is coming up. We exchanged ideas on how to reinforce the EU’s strategic position in the world and the need to cooperate with our partners. Our enduring support to #Ukraine remains a pillar of our external action.
