Carlos Alcaraz is on course to finish the season having won a set in every single match he's played. Since 1997 this has only been achieved once, by Roger Federer in 2005. Remarkably 2005 was also a year in which Nadal lost only 1 match in straight sets, who was this loss to?

A great #RolandGarros final. The scoring system in tennis is so good. The dynamic finishing line adds so much drama.

Tony and I met in 2017 on a cold January morning in Paris. I'd just finished a long tour with Foals and arrived slightly crumpled at the '70s studio he'd made his base in recent years.

Rybakina (5th favourite for the title pre tournament according to @TwentyFirstGrp model) crashed out of #AO24 in a 42 point deciding set tie-break. 42 or more points occurred in just 7 out of 100,000 simulations (0.007%). It was more likely that one of the players won 10-0 (0.2%)

US Open Draw Analysis: - American men have been big beneficiaries. Tiafoe, Paul, Korda & Fritz all rank in the top 6 - Korda, Sakkari & Rune all squandered favourable draws with 1st round losses - If Kvitova wins against Wozniacki her route is easier than expected #USOpen

Vondrousova currently a set up in her #Wimbledon semi final. The @TwentyFirstGrp tennis model, which ranks her as the 4th best player in the world, gave her a pre-tournament probability of 3% of winning the championships (low due to being unseeded). She is currently at 35%.

Tsurenko & Bogdan played out the longest tie-break in women's Grand Slam history at 38 points. They have estimated probabilities of 57% & 52% to win a given point on serve on grass. From 50,000 simulated tie-breaks between the two only 19 went 38 points or longer! #Wimbledon

Only Federer & Murray stand ahead of the NextGen for experience on grass at a similar age. Djokovic, who has tended not to play any Wimbledon warm up tournaments & Nadal, who has struggled with injuries in SW19, had a similar number of matches to Zverev & Medevedev #Wimbledon
