"Ramsey Noah" is trending. The top tweets have nothing to say about why he is trending.
Just a bunch of influencers hustling their tweets into every conversation. They make everything meaningless. I still don't know why he is trending.
If you started selling fire and it looks like you are doing well, you’ll see folks abandon their entire 10-year plan for their own project to start selling fire too.
Never seen any group of people with zero clarity of what they really, really want to do and just sticking to it.
Nigerians must understand frailty is very essential to these people. A sharp, agile candidate cannot be managed/controlled.
When you vote for a frail candidate, you don't vote for a person. You vote for a group of people hiding in shadows running affairs without accountability.
Work from home destroys families. As a man you will lose all respect from your family if you’re home 24/7. Your kids will talk back, your wives will not listen. Being away creates mystery and demands respect. This is exactly why I spend hours at the caffe, to save my family.
Genuinely curious. How is Whatsapp making money? No ad, no subscription. I imagined a Fintech (P2P money transfer) play on it but that's not happening so far/yet.
I just saw a Whatsapp ad on ABC. Got me curious.
I am very excited to announce we have raised $1.7m to build out financial operation services and solve cash-flow problems for local SMEs on the continent.
Big thanks to our thousands of customers for trusting in us. We will never forget why we are here. This is for you.
Hello everyone! Super excited to share what we've been working on for a while now. Brass: a bank-backed current account provider for Nigerian businesses.
My superpower is that I have clarity!
You can wake me up 2am and I’ll tell you step by step what I want to do for the next 3 years and how they all come together.
I have been on that path for 3 years now. No, I’m not winging it.
Always negotiate fairly with people. Even when you are able to get away with things, make good terms.
When the dust settles and the other party learns more, then they learn you were unfair. The relationship will go on because a contract is signed but it'll never be a good one.
For many men, and this is my opinion, their 30s is when they get remarkably (most) good looking or attractive.
It’s also the years you’re (finally) likely to have your shit together. Best years!
You become truly free the day you realize you can just build things without anyone’s permission.
No one needs to tell you it’s great or good enough to exist, you determine that.
It might take a very long time to become this. When you do, you become almost arrogant.
How it is to add your partner and have a shared account you both co-manage on
@brassmoneyhq
.
If you ever break up with them, there’s provision for that as set by the initial terms you both agree to.
Be in the room when great things are getting built. Do whatever, it doesn’t matter.
Make friends with very smart people. They always end up doing or being part of great things.
If you are not learning or earning well, quit.
Ayomide and Omehi run Ayora, a clothing company in Lekki where they make traditional clothing for Nigerian women.
They shared their story with us. We are inspired by stories like this and simply want to do more.
Big thanks to thousands of businesses using Brass.
If you are rich, you will rarely ever go broke from reckless spending.
I know it makes no sense but spending money gets really tiring, and it's easy to stop yourself. The biggest loser of money is bad investments/bets. That's how you go broke.
You should really set up 2FA for your accounts. Social media, financial services, Emails etc and you should avoid products that don't support this.
And OTP via sms or emails doesn't really count. I recommend you use Authy or Google Authenticator. Keep your accounts safe.
What’s the point of money if the people I love and care about still have to stress or worry?
My family and best friends are always going to be good. And you realize you don’t need all that much money to put them right.
$1m x 30, send!
We are looking for top frontend devs. We are building some very interesting products you'll love to be a part of.

Big companies are exiting, startups and smaller businesses are shutting down. More people are getting jobless. The smartest people are leaving everyday.
Tech is generally subsidized for Africa. See Uber, Spotify. Africa cannot truly afford the future it seeks to have.
That's why we must think bigger and be willing to go global.
When smart people, in different rooms, think really hard about the same problem, chances are really high that they get same or similar solutions. It's not you, it is nature of seeking finite answers.
No one is copying you, focus on your work.
To be clear.
WE DO NOT OPERATE THE BRASS MICROFINANCE BANK. WE HAVE ZERO AFFILIATION OR CONNECTION!
Brass MFB license was revoked. We don’t know them, don’t work with them. Have never done business with them.
When the time is right, we will announce our own MFB. Thanks.
Just be a smooth talker in this life. Half of your problems, gone!
Either talk very fast like Jesse Eisenberg or very slow like Will Smith.
Fast talking means too smart (your mouth can talk as fast as your brain is processing/damn). Slow talking means you’re being profound.
Timing plays a very important role in almost everything in life. You can be too early, &you can also be too late to an opportunity.
You want to play just when it's perfect to play. Talent, skills & resources are not always enough.
Never forget to ask: why is now the best time?
Nigerian fintech Brass blames funding winter for customer withdrawal delays: “It is expensive to run any kind of fintech. You can say you want to disrupt banks if you raise $1–2 million; in a few years, you need to raise $5–10 million. If it is overdue…
Brass started in the middle of pandemic. We’ve never worked from the office.
We’ve had meetings all that. But never 9-5, Mon-Fri for 3 years.
We rented the office, furnished it. It serves its purpose, & I like it. Sometimes I wonder what the company would have been otherwise.
For most things in life, you really have to be right just once.
You need just one great life partner, one successful business. One thing in every important category is enough and will make up for all the loses.
Take your time and hope you find it.
The most honest you’ll ever be is when you refuse to be anything.
You have political ideas but you refuse to be a part of any group. You believe in God but refuse to be a part of any religion.
You advocate for people but refuse to be labeled any -ist.
You’re a free man.
My Dear Chief Olusegun Obasanjo,
@Oolusegun_obj
, a very respected father-figure and elder statesman, I am honoured to celebrate you on this special day of yours. Over the years, you have remained a true patriot, great leader, father and mentor to many, in our nation Nigeria.
“There are a few times in life when you meet someone who sees more potential in you than you might see in yourself.”
Never forget these people! They are special and everything!
We are adding to the Brass team. Help us make enterprising easier, more permission-less and successful for Africans everywhere.

You can't travel because you can't apply for visa.
You can't apply for visa because you have less than 6 months on your passport so get a new one.
You can't get a new one because there are no booklets.
