If there’s a day when AI becomes super powerful in generating most stable code, I would still prefer hand coding because AI can never understand my thought process and mindmap while building the product.
"I use AI in a separate window. I don't enjoy Cursor or Windsurf, I can literally feel competence draining out of my fingers.". @dhh, the legendary programmer and creator of Ruby on Rails has the most beautiful and philosophical idea about what AI takes away from programmers.

Make timestamp as the order by column to sort data while writing to disk, Partition data by yyyymmdd and use aggregated merge tree as backend engine table. Why above techniques will help. When filtering by date, clickhouse picks only the blobs matching to date without full.
Very interesting questions. I too have one tricky question on Observability and quoting this post for better reach. You have a clickhouse analytical database that ingests cpu, disk, network metrics every milli second i.e, . 3 x 86,400 x 1000 events per day. Clickhouse chokes.

An engineer sees this and starts panicking. The view counter is a signed int32 and is hours away from overflowing to -2.147B. You're that engineer. How do you perform a live data migration to prevent this public disaster?
