We just announced US$9.4m in grants going after the elusive methane vaccine for cattle. This one excites me. I'd call it a moonshot - if it does work, this could have planetary level impacts. But it's a big "if", and that's the kind of risk taking I think we need to be making.
Can a vaccine for cows help save the planet? With $9.4M in grants from the @BezosEarthFund, scientists are exploring ways to reduce methane emissions from cattle. Discover how this could transform farming and help fight climate change ➡️ https://t.co/npK1nXUwOJ.

Have you ever thought of food as the “F-word” in climate conversations? For years, talking about food’s impact on our planet was a taboo. But now, it's clear: the way we produce and consume food is a major piece of the climate puzzle → https://t.co/kmbR1pzJB5 via @ajarviscali.

It’s taken years to arrive at the point where food is finally part of the climate change discussion. While countries update their national plans to reflect its importance, I’ll be making the case for a yes-and food system wherever I go. @BezosEarthFund

Eating plants that taste like meat? It's not sci-fi; it's how we're making our meals planet-friendly. Alternative proteins are shaking up our plates with less land, water, and emissions. Learn more about our efforts and the future of food: https://t.co/zRPhxIa6DW.

Food is responsible for 1/3 of global GHG emissions. Fixing the food system helps solve the problem. At #COP28, we unveiled ambitious grants to cut livestock emissions, trace cattle and safeguard forests as part of our $1 billion commitment to transforming food systems.

The response to the Global Stocktake is the most important outcome from COP28. The COP began with a resounding affirmation at leaders' level of the role of food in tackling climate change. It needs to close with an equally compelling signal in the GST of this fact.
