I was born to a Malaysian mother overseas.
I didn't think this ruling would affect me much because I received my citizenship years ago, but I'm emotional today.

KL High Court has today ruled that Malaysian mothers have the right to confer citizenship on their children on an equal basis with Malaysian men.
“The grievances of the plaintiffs are real…the discrimination is apparent," said High Court judge Dato’ Akhtar bin Tahir.

From 1976 to 2017, Sarawak ALONE generated RM660bn of revenue from the production of oil and gas.
To date, they’ve only received RM33bn from the Federal govt which is just 5% of the total amount.
We don’t deserve Sabah & Sarawak.
Sabah and Sarawak didn't form Malaysia with the Malayan states for our unique culture and traditions to be treated as inferior, by the way.
The Federation benefits from Borneo's oil and gas. Least you could do is, to let us celebrate and appreciate our natives' culture openly.

Upon getting my IC at 15 years old, I could:
-Finally access affordable healthcare and get my vaccinations.

-I could work after STPM and support myself during my tertiary education. Otherwise it would’ve been illegal for me to work– even at the local kedai runcit.

Had to do STPM bcs that was the only option available to me.
