Developed countries are the source of 57% of GHGs emitted by humans since 1850, the #IPCC report says, while LDCs account for just 0.4% - "We have been calling for urgent action for decades while emissions continue to rise... It's time for implementation."

Negotiations have gone through the night Saturday into Sunday. A final plenary is scheduled this evening but the report is still due to be released at 9am GMT tomorrow. This can't be good for communicating this really important report. Newsrooms will need time to process it.

Yet decision making and leadership in #ClimateAction are dominated by men, and decisions are therefore less likely to meet the needs and wishes of #women.

#Women and #girls play a crucial role in climate change #adaptation and #mitigation, but are more affected than men by climate-related disasters that affect productive resources and their livelihoods.

The $100bn/yr by 2020 #ClimateFinance commitment hasn’t been met but we appreciate the efforts of the @COP26 Presidency to ensure that developed countries provide $500bn over 5 years up to 2025. This should be provided as grants and balanced between mitigation & adaptation #COP26

I welcome the submission of a second, enhanced NDC by the Gambia 🇬🇲, including additional mitigation measures in energy, agriculture and waste sectors. Good to see the high level of commitment and political aspiration to achieve #NetZero emissions by 2050.
