I'm sorry but I just don't want to normalize that winning a sneaker means you have to pay for the sneaker, taxes if your state has them, shipping, and also fairness. I get some of y'all love it but that stuff really does add up. Especially when some drops force you to use eql.

I sat down with @FlisadamP at @EnvertMedia to discuss the Walmart Avias and the sneaker game.

The reality of all the EQL stuff, and I also saw this with Sole Savy, is the current climate of things being a bit easier to acquire has made the need for alternate means less of a NEED. And the companies must pivot and find ways to justify why they are needed.

This is what Im saying. Honestly Ive always taken issue with a "Fairness" Fee. People will say well Join Plus then. Ok so if your chances are the same and you hit on 1-3 drops a year with an avg fee of lets say 7-10. Thats 21-30 in fees saved a year, BUT a year of eql + is 48.

That said. This year I pretty much hit on almost every shoe I wanted. Save a few exceptions. And All those Ws were out side of retailers using EQL. If you only enter EQL raffles I can see this being something that works for you but for me ulitmately I canceled.

BTW, I used EQL+ for a few months. Here is my experience. I never got a second chance raffle. And never had to worry about "winsurance" (honestly that should be free). That said did I win... I got the Awake 5s and the Undefeated 4s. Now do I think its due to being on plus, no.

And lets be real, what "Fairness" for alot of sneakerheads really means is, "Every thing is all good as long as I hit"

"What is EQL+ Priority? During Launch Week (Dec 3-5), select draws will prioritize EQL+ member entries during the selection process" This it goes against fairness. I get EQL is being used everywhere so not using it is impossible for some shit. but giving priority isnt fairness

The irony is I don't consider them sneakerheads. These are clearly resellers, however, in the last couple years we've allowed people like that to have some prominent voices in the culture. Hell that post that went viral about sneakers being dead is one of these kinda guys I bet.
