I think it's extremely tone deaf to advocate for censoring AO3, a website designed SPECIFICALLY for archiving fanmade works of art without censorship, on any day, but ESPECIALLY in the current environment. Also demonstrates a lack of understanding abt the purpose of art archives

i get why people wait for a fic to be finished before reading, but i think sometimes they don’t realize there’s a person behind it who needs feedback and motivation to keep going. writing is such a lonely process, and without engagement, it’s easy to feel like no one cares.

fanfiction is born out of love and genuine excitement by a fan. it’s built on community, passion, deranged author’s notes. AI can’t understand emotion therefore AI CAN NOT WRITE FANFICTION. get that shit away from ao3.
