It’s hilarious to make a comic where someone waves a flag, another person takes out a gun and threatens to shoot them, and somehow the guy holding the gun is supposed to look good lol

Say what you want, but Mayor-elect Mamdani's transportation transition committee is absolutely fantastic. Having a roster of people who have written reports on how to make subways cheaper, along with the biggest pedestrian and transit advocates in the city, makes me very happy.

I'm hiring a founding engineer to build fully automated software companies with me at @RocketableInc. This sounds crazy to most people, but the trajectory is obvious if you're paying attention. Within a few years, the question won't be "can AI run a software company?" It will be

It's close but DOGE era conservative posting might've been worst ever. You'd see 30k likes and an Elon RT for slop like "Why did "scientists" get a "$500 research grant" with taxpayer dollars to study MICE 🤔"

Beyond that the 1/1 comparisons of Zohran’s margin versus de Blasio or whatever are idiotic for very obvious and surface level reasons. If Cuomo had won by the same margin we’d be hearing a narrative about how his historic win shows Dems need to cozy up to Trump.

Like I cannot people are having this conversation. This isn’t a presidential election where you can have a PV/EV split and it makes sense to ask “how can Trump be this extreme when Hillary got 3 million more votes” Never heard it in any other context.

The manufactured “does he have a mandate?” narrative around Mamdani, even after he’s won a majority, is nuts. Just transparent ideological bias against Zohran. No scenario in which Cuomo winning by the same margin against an independent Zohran would ever face this questioning.

Brilliant move by Chuck Schumer to needlessly antagonize the next mayor of NYC ahead of an extremely difficult 2028 primary. Could’ve easily said “I support the Democratic nominee” like someone with your job is supposed to at any time in last 5 months!

“Cuomo was doing so badly in polls of voters that voters didn’t vote for Cuomo. I’m very rich please take me seriously”
@ViralNewsNYC I disagree. Sliwa staying in convinced many Cuomo voters it was a foregone conclusion so they didn’t vote. If Sliwa had dropped, Cuomo could have won.

Also there’s no way “Will he or won’t he break 50%?? Will he have a mandate” would’ve been a thing if Cuomo was (D) nominee lol. Transparently ideologically biased narrative.

If you weren’t following closely you would easily get the impression that the race was a perfect toss up from national coverage. (I’ve had like 2 family members ask me about the race for this reason!)

A situation where (D) nominee Cuomo was winning by like 15% in every poll, and an independent Zohran’s only hope of winning was through other people dropping out would not have been covered the same, let’s not kid ourselves.

Cuomo being treated by the press as a Serious Contender the whole GE campaign while down in polls like 10% was a pretty clear case of “a lot of powerful people dislike the frontrunner”, IMO

Unfortunately Virginia Electorate Insurance will not cover Mr. Miyares’, citing pre-existing conditions (being a Republican Trump enabler)

It is mortifying that there are so many college-educated Virginia voters who are like “Wow a nasty text? That’s way worse than being someone who would urge SCOTUS to overturn a Dem. victory in 2028”

It’s one thing if this was a Lt. Governor race or whatever, but it’s genuinely vile to support a Republican after AG in any circumstance. https://t.co/Evdcff2bnB

Jones vs. Miyares is basically “Scumbag who will hopefully resign vs. Guy who as AG would support a GOP effort overturn the 2028 election” If you’re left of center and are vaguely apprehensive about hoping Jones wins, you’re a mark.

Not a 1/1 situation obviously, but like, I'm imagining Biden in 2022 deciding "I hate Madison Cawthorn, I should get on TV and tell GOP primary voters to support Chuck Edwards"

I get Trump being undisciplined enough to back Cuomo and revealing the obvious about his campaign (that he's a de facto Republican at this point) Someone like Miller though? It's beyond comprehension why he think this would help Cuomo.

This race has been one of the wildest in recent memory, but the single weirdest thing might be Trump / Miller thinking it makes sense for them to publicly get behind Cuomo? What is the calculus here? Do they actually think this works in Cuomo's favor?
Stephen Miller: The Anti-Mamdani vote which is really the pro-NYC vote, the pro-America vote needs to unite behind a leading candidate and that’s Andrew Cuomo.
