Ok this is sweet. You can now request multiple coding agents to build an app in parallel and compare them head to head. Complete with an integrated IDE for live development. 🔥🔥🔥
Shoutout to @xai team for hustling at 2:00 am to help bring this over the finish line Introducing Agent Runner: the first open-source agent harness run with real users to create a live benchmark of real-world coding We trace tool-calls, reprompting, and multifile edits,

The protein design field keeps making progress with AI models creating antibodies that look more and more like drugs Nabla Bio's newest model results include high binding affinities, full-length antibody designs, + passing developability criteria: https://t.co/1LWkCGZW1B

Nabla Bio's JAM-2 AI model creates antibodies with drug-like properties, achieving high binding rates against 28 targets including hard-to-drug GPCRs, per new preprint.

i think the more interesting comparison anyways would be data center water use vs an equivalent size of farmland
This is the single most massive factual error in a major book I've ever personally noticed on my own, and I think I'm the first person to notice it? Empire of AI asserts that a data center is using 1000x as much water as a city. In reality, it's 22% of the city's water.

We raised $6M to discover new pesticides with AI. Seed co-led by General Catalyst and A Capital, with participation from SV Angel, Paul Graham, Character Capital, Liquid 2, Basis Set, and others. We’re YC W25. Little-known fact: farmers today use 2x more pesticide than they did

The interface of the future is human. We’ve raised a $40M Series B from CRV, Scale, Sequoia, and YC to teach machines the art of being human, so that using a computer feels like talking to a friend or a coworker. And today, I’m excited for y’all to meet the PALs: a new

Is that… a lot? 30x over 5 years from where we are now means it doubles every year.
Michael Burry should probably close his eyes for this one. $JPM estimates the global AI buildout would need about $650B in annual revenue through 2030 to hit just a 10% return hurdle which equals to ~0.6% of global GDP. That’s the same as every $AAPL iPhone user paying $35 a

Not sure where this guy is getting his stats but YC regularly backs Indian founders and I’d love to back many more. If you’re an Indian technical team, I’d encourage you to apply to YC. 🇮🇳 I’ll personally work to make sure you get a visa.

Really excited to see this one launch in part because it's a great story of two YC teams working together. Limited in GPU capacity and rushing to get their model trained, this team worked with another YC company in the batch working on GPU software and infrastructure until 3am
Kalpa Labs (@KalpaLabsAI) is training one generalist model for all speech tasks. Steer it like an LLM, give long system prompts & make use of native contextual awareness. Congrats on the launch, @pshishodiaa and @jhagauti! https://t.co/V0AbssT7CN

Getting a new idea off the ground is tough. A trick: start with a minimum evolvable product. Some thoughts here.

YC is funding more AI research companies than ever before. I'm very excited to fund frontier research, including in companies that plan to stay in stealth. This upcoming batch, we are running a special cohort for companies like this. If you're a researcher and interested, you

When Oguzhan and David applied to YC, their idea was just a concept. Today, their company @BillionToOneInc (S17) is going public—their genetic test now helps screen 1 in 11 US babies, and their tech unlocks earlier detection from prenatal care to cancer. https://t.co/suerXlUVzv

the current mayor of SF is a good example of how you can be less leftist but still have a vision of doing things.

like idk maybe the standard bearer for centrists in NYC shouldnt be a sexual assailant that quit in shame, has zero policies anyone can remember, whose general vibe is boomer uncle, and got endorsed by trump

Think this is a very good point that liberals should lose sleep over. young people are tired of voting for losers who complain incessantly about things that can't get done. those who want more centrist policies should give people something to be inspired by.
