Today we remember Sgt. Major (ret) Saman Gunan who died while rescuing a boy's soccer team stuck in a cave on 10 July 2018. Saman wasn't abiding by any orders when he joined the effort to save the boys soccer team trapped in a cave in northern Thailand. Rest In Peace SgtMaj.

Last night the Commander and I presented an AAM on the spot to a young Soldier who has only been out of AIT for about 30 days. She was a gunner shooting the M240 and .50cal throughout our training. Not once did her weapon systems have issues, and she was hitting every target.
