I'm listening to the audio book for Empire of Pain about Purdue and the opioid crisis and it's making me feel physically ill. It is truly disgusting what greed does to people - Purdue caused the opioid crisis and has done nothing about it.

In my current job, I’ve cultivated an expectation that I will not drink much and be an early leaver from parties and it’s so much nicer than when I’ve been one of the last ones standing. No one expects that of me and I can go home early and not drunk. Win-win. Do recommend.

Happy new year all!! 2025 was a weird year for me, with highs of doing the Camino finally and my trip to Vietnam, and lows being two rounds of redundancies at my job and a stage 4 cancer diagnosis to someone close to me. Here's to a more stable 2026 🥂
